Whilst we were poor against Hudds i think if we had a full staff of player for 80 we would have sneaked it.

Our goal line defense in the first half won us the game. To hold out for 5-6 sets was immense. Not many teams can do that against Saints.

Hull KR may have done us a favour last Sunday. We conceded three 'soft' tries on their rare raids on our line. TS must have had the boys watching the DVD all week because the improvement in goal line defence was 100%.

maybe I am looking back fondly but we did an excellent job (read:esp Myler) holding them up over the line.

I've tried my best not to read in to 'defence wins games' always trying to favour putting the ball over the stripe, but over the past two years, i've seen a different side of defence, the commitment (being the key word) between the group of players is immense, never seen a bunch of blokes work so hard for each other. The difference between a decent side and, dare I say it, a championship winning team! Keep that work ethic with the class of Briers, Monaghan, Myler etc we'll be there or there abouts

I'll hand it to you though, I said on our board during the game your defence was absolutely outstanding. Lee Briers totally had the game under control.

Both attack & defense are equally important, it's no good keeping a teams' score low with great defence if you don't go up the other end and score yourself.

Speaking of defence, how good was Myler friday! Poor lad cops some right nonsense at times but I'm happy he's on the pitch every week now. He's a little wisear$e and tackles well above his weight.



Other clubs can 'target' him all they want as far as i'm concerned. Because he'll probably put you on your ar$e and then be scoring under the sticks within a minute.



Time for a few to get off his back really. Although I acknowledge its only a minority that bag him.
