....what a stupidly tagged reference to a player which could cause resentment within teams especially if said marquee player is not what he is cracked up to be.

Draper said in a recent video interview that all of the clubs had agreed not to name their 'marquee' player. In most instances, it won't be obvious I would imagine.



We will never see genuinely big names come over from Australia until their representative sides stop refusing to field Super League players.

Because he's shown so far overall he's decidedly average.

A whole four games after suddenly moving to a new country and he's not fought his way into contention for the Man of Steel? He must be rubbish.

I think he's been great, but you can only do so much when the whole team hasn't played well. His kicking game is good and you can see him talking to players and starting to direct players about. A few thing he has tried haven't come off but he's testing defences and bringing a real threat. I'm happy with him and get a good pre-season in and he gets used to the players and they get used to him I think he'll be awesome

170k he's not worth it.

So after a few games you can tell whether he will not be a worthwhile signing because you are wearing your "objectivity specs"...or is it your Huddersfield "I hope the oppositions player turns out to be rubbish specs"?

Just because Sandow is on over 170k (as we suspect he is) it doesn't mean that he's our Marquee player. Nothing says we can't pay more than one player more than 170k.

When you say you "really hope he's not marquee", what has it got to do with you?



We don't know for sure whether Sandow is OUR marquee signing, but, to say that if he's "to be the highest paid player in SL next season that's a travesty", is plain daft. Not only is it too early to judge his SL career, but, you do realise that other clubs can have a marquee signing too, even Huddersfield?
