Sneyd off a scrum turning the ball over on play one is becoming an issue for me. It’s once a week. It just stinks of desperation of trying to score on play one. The one I’m referring to is the one after the Rapana knock on on their line.
This doesn’t help on the terraces, I agree to a point with the criticism of the fans but can also understand the nervousness and frustration.
In truth, we played for about 15 minutes yesterday and blew them away. That was before they started dropping the ball every two minutes too. There is a good team in there, we just need to fix up the dummy half. 2 memorable runs from dummy half yesterday, one won a penalty, one a try. It’s been 6 weeks since we had a run though, finally we have cottoned on. Walker can’t get back quick enough.
Currie, top class. Couldn’t have done more
I agree re Sneyd, that was a dreadful play and showed a fair bit of disrespect for the game - we needed to maintain the pressure on Hull, but went with a low-percentage option that damaged our momentum.
I disagree slightly about only playing for 15 minutes. I think it was a good first 15 minutes, followed by a loose 25 minutes for which I largely blame a very strange choice of bench. It couldn't be a surprise that taking off two good props and replacing one with Powell (with the greatest respect) killed our physical domination of the game. In the second half we played a much more controlled game and ensured Hull rarely got any good ball to use. Even though our cutting edge wasn't great (we are very ponderous <20m out), we were well organised and managed the game really nicely.
