I very rarely watch a live game and record all games for viewing later on the same night usually.

As Karetaker says the score on the banner is a spoiler, although having the banner does prompt me, if I forget to record a game.

I have already used the `site preferences` and switched off the `live score panel` but the green banner still shows the games` scores.

Maybe an issue for Site Admin to sort-out, by leaving the banner advertising the games, but give us the option to remove the scores shown?

Yes I have done that but like you said it still shows, think I will pm the site admin

I fixed this, hope it helps.

I have enhanced it so that you get notified of fixtures and up and coming TV games but you won't see the scores or updates with the score/fixtures set to off.
