Was at Manchester City’s game with half the Wire squad the other night

I used to be proud that Warrington were turning their attention to Home-grown talent and last year we had only Gidley and Sims, which I thought was a great achievement at the start of the season.

Then by the end of the season I looked at the quality of Hull, Leeds and Castleford and to a lesser degree Wigan and Saints, and I thought I’d rather be winning things than championing a team with only 2 overseas players. Sad but true. The quality factor is noticeable so we either apply a strict rule that limits any club to only say, TWO players trained in the NRL, or go purely Home-trained if that’s even legal. I know it’s a difficult one to define.

As a matter of interest ,are the former Anzac stars that have now gone back to playing for the countries of their roots no longer affected by the Aussie quota ?

Not sure how it would affect players like Fifita / Taumalolo as a Quota player, but they would still count as a Non Fed player.
