A text, out of context, is a pretext. Do I take it you don't think skill played any part in Philbin break, or rugby awareness, or fitness. You obviously accept that "running hard" is required, how about pace?
If all that was needed was "heart and desire" I suspect most who Post on this forum would qualify to play. We clearly all feel passionately about the Wire and if given the opportunity to wear the shirt in a competitive match I would definitely play with heart and desire, and would be absolutely mullered the first time I got the ball...as no doubt would you playing with even greater levels of heart and desire.
