| This really was a game of two halves. In the first, Wire really took control of the game despite playing against the wind. The tackling was good, we saw (I assume) a neat pre-planned move with Harry Reardon kicking through for Jack Johnson to score, and by half time it was 22-6 with the youngsters seemingly in full control. Come the second half though we saw a big reversal of fortunes. The team failed to control the ruck and allowed fast ball to a Cas side that were more than happy to move the ball and attack. In addition, our right flank looked very porous and was constantly attacked by Cas who ran hard and found plenty of supporting players. Wire were also punished for turning their backs on Ash Robson when taking a quick 20m restart. Robson, who was a threat throughout the match, made a good 50m and his break eventually resulted in a try. When the scores were level at 28 all you would have banked on an away win, but then a silly penalty by Cas gave Livett the opportunity to take the match winning goal. Perhaps a more equitable result would have been a draw.
I don't think any player had an outstanding game, Livett and Murray were prominent, but I was impressed with Harry Reardon who only moved up from the U16's this year. He is quick, got good hands and can open up a defence with his kicks and passes.

| I have to say it was a surprise to see them hanging on when I arrived after HT knowing what the score was prior.

| I think it was the ANCW who asked about Peter Livett, Harvey's father. Apparently he has not coached Chester Wolves, although he does help out with another local Warry club.
