If the reason Carvell went was that he wanted a 2 year, not 1 year deal, I am sure TS regrets not giving him it.

The Carvell saga is done for me. He's had 4 clubs in the 2 years that he wanted from us, and played around a dozen games with mixed outcomes. Players have a shelf life and TS got this one bang on. We got the best from him, and he will be remembered for being a great player, not the shadow of his former self that he has drifted in to in the background at Fev.

Oppotunities for G. King and B Evans have been presented because of this, and they could be the future of the club.

wires71 possibly, like a few I feel he got the whole changeover process wrong, not getting adequate replacements apart from Sims has lead to players playing out of position, losing Wood pre season then B Evans to injury only compounded matters upfront, assuming Roy is on his way home close season I would think at least one prop possibly two to come in. Barbed Wire has a good point though chances for young players to come through.

I'm also curious to know what Carvell has done since leaving us that would make Tony regret letting him leave? As much as I loved him for us he's been on the treatment table for most of the last two years, the shelf life comment is bang on.

Smith got the carvell situation just right... if we had given him 2 more years, then all his injuries happened there would have been uproar.

1 year was the right offer... the medical staff would have seen him take longer to recover in between games and that probably swayed the contract offer.

warrington will have known more about his situation than the clubs singing him, thats for sure.
