As much as it still irks me, I don't regard Russell Smith penalising Cullen as cheating. It was a bad decision, but not cheating.
The Hull game you mention though... well, perhaps it was because I was only about 11 or 12, but I still regard that as, at least, suspicious.
I've since read that Billy Thompson was granted an official position at Hull shortly after, but whether that is accurate or true I don't know.
But this thread is about Sunday and James 'Emmerdale Paramedic' Child. (One for your next YouTube trawl.)
At some point there'll be the need for a Video Ref decision.
Child blows his whistle.
Waits for camera.
Flicks his hair off his forehead with a thespian flick of his hand.
Draws a dramatic square in the air.
Slowly and deliberately delivers the script to Ian Smith in a voice that carries all the way from the stage to the back of the theatre.
Wipes away a non-existent bead of sweat with his wristband and adopts cool and collected pose.
And each time I almost expect him to take a bow and ask Eddie "is that a wrap?"
