TBH I suspect this decision has been heavily influenced by the police and the council not wanting to organise the logistics of another parade so close to the CC win.



Police are probably still recovering from policing Featherstone fans descent upon town centre last week.

Working on Sunday anyway and more bothered about missing the football than any parade.



What matters is what happens on the pitch tomorrow night, not what happens (or doesn't happen) in Warrington the next day.

I for one am disappointed. Always made a weekend of Wembley so missed those parades. Would have been nice for the players to see the fans appreciation, and vice versa. IF we win there's a good chance it'll be the only time we ever see a double (as a Wire fan of 24 years like many I've never seen even a single!), so we should milk it do all it's worth-parades, photo opportunities, dinners the lot. They ain't mutually exclusive, so I don't really get the announcement TBH.



Still, nice to be able to moan about it

The players will want to exhale on Saturday night, win or lose. They don't want to be donning suits, they deserve to enjoy it as a team because of how hard they would have worked to win it as a team. Parading them in front of screaming 12 year old girls and middle aged men in shock that you've won it, would just be cruel.

We didn't finish top. Why have a homecoming parade to celebrate the runners up winning 3 games at the end of the season?
