To be honest seat colour does not matter, lets go to Old Trafford and put a couple of tiers in the the Stretford with blue seats, it won't be a problem!
As loyal fan has already said its not so much the colour of seats thats the problem its how little input we have in the stadium thats the worrying thing. Yes it not ours, but it was built for us so the club not knowing that blue seats were going in is a problem IMO. Whats next the club "not knowing" that we're getting f**ked off to a Wednesday because Sale are playing London Irish on the Friday!!!
I'm on the train to London soo, so no point sobering up now, might as well see the night through!!!

Not as farfeched as you may think, afterall how many times over the years has the Willows (the clubhouse built for Salford RLFC) been made not available to the fans of the club as there has been a private function on.

As a Salford council Tax payer ..I used the link to the Salford.Gov website and voiced my opinion that I wasn't happy with my hard earned tax money going towards Blue seats in a new stadium built primarily for a team with a long standing association with the colour Red
This is the very quick reply
Hello Mr Student ,
I am in receipt of your complaint regarding the colour of the seats at the new Salford Reds Stadium.
This is actually a matter for the City of Salford Community Stadium Company and not the Council.
Although the Council has an interest in the Stadium it is actually a fully limited company and therefore has a Board and team that makes its own decisions, this being a design/construction one.
The seat colour decision was made in consultation with Salford Reds RFL Club and with a view to it eventually being a shared facility with another major sports team.

Don't think blue seats would be a deciding factor for Utd reserves tbh, the seats are royal blue which is a traditional away colour for Utd anyway.
However it isn't gonna be them either way. |
