| At the end of today's, M.E.Ns. match report, it states that there will be six high profile signings to be announced, when we are clear, I presume, of relegation

| Signing somebody from a team that finishes higher than you is 'high profile' in my book.
Unless by high profile they mean 'high brow' in which case you must have signed Westwood and Brough.

| I'm a bit baffled by the love for Brierley. I'm not questioning his talent because he's clearly a gifted player, but where would you put him in our team? Is the man-crush on him simply down to him being a local lad (Preston?), or am I missing something?

| Man crush is on him being a die-hard Salford fan since he was a little kid, as well as him being an immensely talented player. Unfair to judge him on yesterday’s game, where Leigh were totally dominated by our pack. Ridyard and Brierley had little and no chance of making an impact.
I hope Hanbury isn’t true, not what we need at all. Evalds is already a much better full-back than him.

I like Brierley as a player but we simply don't need him at the moment. Unless he's content to fill Fages boots as back-up to a couple of positions. He'd be a shoe-in if we needed a Fullback/half-back but we don't. At all. Unless of course, we're losing one of our first choice guys.

| I am sure they will be quality signings that will fit your team well if Mr. Sheens has been involved in the signatures.
In the league Weekly today it mentions that Wakefield are looking at 3 Salford players (Fages, BJB and Hansen) for next season which is completely out of the blue and probably little truth in it!
As fans that watch your club every week who would you be looking to offload out of your current squad come the end of the season?

I'd be happy to offload a young up and coming prop, sure his name is Moz or something similar, then obviously Theo, but only because he wants out, and unfortunately we cannot keep our terrific loan signing "Fat Boy Scorealot" Taylor.
Would quite like to keep the remaining squad to be fair

In all fairness Michael Carter has made genuine enquires with regards to Theo, but he won’t be going to Wakefield.
I think it would be fair to say that BJB hasn’t settled as well as he would have hoped, always difficult for players travelling over the M62 on a daily basis but he’s one who has been quite vocal about the positive impact Tim Sheens has had on the place. I think he’s had a really good season considering, a) he has been in and out the team through injury and b) played outside Junior Sa’u most of the year. We saw yesterday what he can do when given a chance near the line, took his try well and was unlucky to have a second ruled out. Would hope we keep him.
I don’t think there is many I would get rid of to be honest, we just need to replace those leaving with better quality.

A lot depends on who we retain. I think this is correct, but anyone, please feel free to correct my mistakes if there are any...
Sau (Non-fed)
Patterson (Overseas & non-fed) Possibly leaving.
Maitua (Non-fed)
Chase (Non-fed)
Hauraki (Non-fed)
Tasi (Non-fed) But is leaving at season end.
Dobson may not count on either list as he had been playing in the UK before 2008 which provides exemptions. I'm not sure though.
Looking at that list it still shows we have six non-feds, but I thought the ruling was a team could only have five?
I'm sure there's better people at giving you this info than me...

It changed to 6 non-fed trained this year.
I'd love to comment on who I'd like to see come in but until we have an idea of who's actually staying or going it's hard to say. We definitely need some props though.
Edit - Oh and Dobson isn't exempt. The player is required to have played in England (not sure if it's just SL?) since the exemption came into place, as Dobson left for a season he's exemption exempt.

| Our fave clown has suggested the fifita brothers may be a target. They'd be class in SL, but because of the rumour source, I'll believe it when I see it.

| With the reduction in interchanges allowed from next season (and decreasing further still) surely more mobile forwards with the capacity to play longer minutes are needed.

Just correcting myself - it changed to 7 this year, not 6.

It would have been quicker to name the players that we aren't looking at in the NRL.

If he can squeeze as many names as possible into every article between now and the start of next season, he can then proudly proclaim how incredible his journalistic skills were when one of those names signs. Scatter gun indeed.
