Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

Exactly my thoughts. If Mr Vickers stays onboard he's going to be one very expensive gofer for a loss making enterprise isn't he? Wasn't he on a six figure salary in his previous employment with the council?

Quote ="MarioRugby"I posted on here about this over 2 months ago and no one believed me. Needless to say I've now been proven right, again.
The problems we faced last year with CCJ's, player disputes, wage payments and stadium finances all being in the public domain meant it was enough for any Chief Executive to be sacked. You'll find a lot of the top clubs use their principal owner as their chief executive as well so this simply brings us in line with them. We've all been hearing for years how Koukash is a brilliantly astute businessman so now he can show all of us how successful he really is. Looking forward to ">it.'"
Not sure that's true really.
8 of the other 11 SL clubs have seperate CEO's from their chairmen/owners:
Leeds:
Chairman/owner = Paul Caddick
CEO = Gary Hetherington
Huddersfield:
Chairman/owner = Ken Davy
CEO = Richard Thewlis
St Helens:
Chairman/Owner = Eamon McManus
CEO = Mike Rush
Castleford:
Chairman/Owner = Jack Fulton
CEO = Steve Gill
Warrington:
Chairman/Owner = Simon Moran
CEO = Roger Draper
Catalans:
Chairman/Owner = Bernard Gausch
CEO = Christophe Jouffret
Hull KR:
Chairman/Owner = Neil Hudgell
CEO = Mike Smith
Widnes:
Chairman/Owner = Steve O'Connor
CEO = James Rule
That leaves Wigan, Hull FC and Wakefield.
Wigan, I can't seem to find a CEO for. Obviously Lenagan has input as do many chairman, but there is obviously a significant role for Kris Radlinski as General Manager along with other directors.
Wakefield can't afford a CEO, so is being run part time by the owner. Not a model you want to follow.
That just leaves Hull. With Adam Pearson.
It may work for Salford, it may not. But it's not a model that most clubs operate. And personally I'm not sure if Koukash's unique brand of leadership is something we need more of in RL.

Don't mind Mr Barker/Mario, he's not even a Salford supporter. He pretends to be, though why I'm not so sure. He also has the worst case of the Dunning–Kruger effect I've ever seen, so don't worry him with facts as he'll just ignore them anyway.
