I'm not saying it isn't true, and if it is there'll obviously be consequences. It just seems like strange timing to come out and say it now.
Why not go public when they supposedly first came to find out about it and name and shame?
By coming out with this a day after selling Smith to us kind of just looks like double standards, as if to say: 'Yeah, we think you've tried to tap up some of our players but we want your money, so we'll let you buy him and then complain about it in the press a day after the deal's been done".
Should be interesting what happens going forward anyway.
