The RFL might need to do something in this regard because 30 years of buying in star quality from rugby union and Australia & New Zealand is at an end.

One Oldham fan we spoke to said they really have been touch and go on staying in existence recently. Going from 2,500 crowds down to around 450 in a short space of time won't do anyone any good at all. The ground needs a bit spending on it, but if you haven't got it then you can't do anything. Pity as part of the fence behind one end even fell down in the wind when we were there.
