You could quite possibly be right there. So perhaps we will se a similar drop off in Brazil, which makes a mockery of cutting budgets to sport.

You could quite possibly be right there. So perhaps we will se a similar drop off in Brazil, which makes a mockery of cutting budgets to sport.

Well Daz: it's a great post, and we would hope that the truth will come out. I don't know why I should be surprised that the Australians have come out so publicly about this but I am. I'm not sure about the "out of focus" backdrop behind the main "piece to camera" that "appears" to show people throwing a rugby ball around.
It looks like there are a lot of "issues" presented in this piece including "fixing". I will await to see if this report gathers momentum or not.
Meanwhile, I think that the reason we haven't beaten the Australians has nothing to do with " illegal" substance abuse and more to do with us just not being good enough.

Maybe so, but interestingly, not for the same reason. Team GB is predominantly National Lottery funded and I believe that they're matching their previous funding for this and succesive years. I'll double check the minor details on this but regardless of where the money comes from, it's staying the same amount.
My mate is likely to be swimming in Rio and if all goes to plan, I may be working their as well. Funding is a frequently debated topic for obvious reasons.
