Whilst picking the kids up from their grandmothers I had a wonder round to look at the space where the shed once lay, One of the contractors came over to me and I said to him I hope your keeping the pitch in good nick, he said some of it is ok some has gone you mean for the piece of turf that your not getting. He said loads of people have asked the same question and some just come along and ask for a piece although we don't give anyone any turf.



He seemed to know the story regarding why we wern't getting it, but to me as someone who chose this instead of a replica shirt is news to me.



Anyone any the wiser ?

I spotted the demolishion is well under way now and I had the same thought.



I picked the turf memorabilia but haven't heard anything from the club. I keep meaning to ring so as soon as I get a response (if they are forthcoming with one) I'll stick it on here.

Got through to the club and they said that things have started with the memorabilia but the guy couldn't give me a due date. There's been a lot of enquiries now that the demolition has begun on The Willows but all they can do is tell us what they know.

Sounds like its been outsourced and they haven't had many updates themselves.



I'll give it a few more weeks then ring again if they haven't released anything official.

I hope the club fulfil their promise about the turf but I wouldn't hold my breath.

And what about the commemoration wall at Barton?

Just very disappointing that they have been unable to do these things.

Surely it wasn't the biggest logistical problem in the world but ,there again,neither is organising a car park to work properly,I suppose............

another let down by the club, looking at the pictures of the willows getting brought down to its knees, non of that grass is going in to any sort of commemorative piece , no dowt would just get some plain old grass fobbed off as the willows grass if it ever happens
