I like the cup as much as the next guy but we all know realisticly that we will get either a super league team in the 5th or 6th round. So while we have the chance we should play some top under 20's showing the respect to whitehaven at the same time.
Spent a couple of years living in the area in the 1990s.
West Cumbria is passionate about rugby league, every housing estate/village has a decent amateur side ( Kells/hensingham/wath brow hornets etc ).I even turned out for Egremont while living threre !
I'd love to see a super league club in the area, but as that's a pipe dream at present, I think the best thing is for us to pick a pretty well full strength side, thus giving Whitehaven some respect and hopefully at the same time entertaining the whole crowd with some of that expansive RL we have played at times this year !
