Lance,I am answering other peoples opinions with some of my own.
In three years time I am of the opinion that some people on this forum will not be happy if we have a top eight spot,average crowds of 10000, paying the full salary cap,the council trying to up the capacity to 15.000 etc.
In three years time there will still be questions over the beer,plastic glasses,the hand driers in the toilets and the fact that some "new fans" are singing different songs or are not singing loud enough.
How may times would you pay good money for a bad pint?If nobody bought the stuff there's a good chance that things would change.

Middleman will confirm this-the answer to crowds is simple-when we signed Hadley,Williams,Evans,etc and got to the Lancs Cup Final the crowds rose steadily with every win.Put a winning team ,with a star player or two, on the pitch and the crowd appears-not rocket science |

started off with a 3,500 crowd against Hull Kr , 5,800 against Warrington , 6,600 against Widnes , 5,900 against Oldham when we were lying 2nd in the Stones Bitter Championship,
Top home crowd against Wigan 8,500 , when we were 5th , Crowd back to 3,500 by the tail end of the season against Halifax when we were back to 10th .
boost in crowds early season co-incided with our run to the Lanc cup final at Knowsley Rd with 19,000 + in attendance
the star player was Paul Shaw!
we had good gates this season Saints 5,900, Wigan 6,200 & Warrington 7,500 , and we have played some good entertaining rugby in spells , trouble is when it's mattered , when the gates have been there our team didn't turn up |

And some people like yourself will be blissfully happy to continue to accept every bad decision the club makes and won't want to criticise people if we continue to drift along aimlessly like we have done for more years than anyone cares to remember.
There is alot of moaning on this forum some of it wholly justified, some of it not. Like anything a balance is needed. I am cautiously optimistic about the move to the new stadium, it is our one big chance to move forward as a club, but we have got to get it right from the outset. I just hope both on and off the field the club is upto the challenge.

Walshovski,I am not blissfully happy with every bad decision that the club makes and I have been around long enough to have seen more than a few, equally I am not blissfully happy with the small number of people who seem to wish the worst for the club whatever the club does.
I personally initially wanted to stop at the Willows and develop it but after listening to various people including the club directors etc I am now eagerly awaiting the move, and I am now very blissfully happy awaiting the delivery of my season tickets for the new West stand along with some new signings (hopefully? | | | |
