As one of the missing fans, the reason why I did not attend, was because I was naffed of at having to pay £60 for 3 of us, when the club are letting previous S T holders in for free, I don't mind try before you buy to encourage new fans, but I know of a few people who have watched half a dozen games without paying a penny, and like I said had season tickets up till a couple of years ago.
The magic also went missing from the CC years ago...its not even played to the same set of rules!! how can one team be allowed to have half a dozen overseas player yet their opponants are allowed only one?
Super league is going the same way, whats the point in playing meaningless games half way through the season ? I go because I enjoy the game and have done since the mid seventies, but can understand why people drop off.
having said that...see you on the 3rd june as normal...

but how many actually go, very few from the research done, most of Salfords support comes from further away than Weaste, again most people now see sport as something you do on an x-box or playstation.

Everyone was affected, bad attendances at all games this weekend. They should include Challenge Cup games with your season ticket.

Yeah, good point. I don't think it's an impossible task, but it is a tough one.
As for the crowd on Friday, although it was very poor, there were poor crowds across the board. And when there's 112-0 scorelines, there's something wrong with the Challenge Cup. |
