Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. This is the biggest piece of non news ever . As if he was EVER gonna' be offered re-appointment anyway ! The best news would have been his dignified resignation to end the possibility of him coming back and us installing a head coach now with a head start before next season.
I've not been a fan in recent times of him and I as im sure many others do not want him as coach for the rest of the season - but i am sure he tried his best with the club and like said above I bet a autobiography would be interesting to see what went on behind the scenes over his time here.
Best of luck in the future Shaun - I think now is the best time for yourself to relax look after your health and concentrate on your media career moving forward
As for our beloved reds - onwards and upwards - I think the the coach we appoint has to be a massive choice we cant just choose someone just for their name or because their friends with Simms. - We need someone who can take us to the next level.
For him personally I wish him well and hope his heath improves.....
As a coach of salford he has managed nothing, we have played some of the most dire RL and he lacks the talent or tactics to resolve the issues. He didn't even seem to control the dressing room.

i have personally been one of the biggest mccrae haters and name callers on here,we are all human at the end of the day and still would like to thank shaun for his efforts,i think we all new after season 1 in super league it wasnt meant to be for salford reds and shaun,in away i feel a bit sorry for the guy after all the time he has be at the healm(which seems like an eternity)that he wont be part of the set up ogf the club even if it was for one season at our new stadium, all the best shaun, you wont go down in history as a great reds coach, but thanks anyway for your time, and look forward to hearing more of your great talk with stevo on sky!
