Quote ="neil72"If we need a loan now how are we going to afford to run the new stadium. also look at the gates we get i can't see salford pulling in 8,000 fans in to the new stadium. Its a dismal day for the club taking a loan how do they plan to pay it back the supporter can see the gates jumping well up and cant see anyone paying 20 pounds plus to watch crap'"
I thought you weren`t a supporter neil. Your last post suggested that you are not coming along again. So why are you so interested?
If you are in business and you require finance for a stated purpose for the future which will benefit that business it is standard practice to budget sensibly and arrange a `bridge`. That is what the club have done - quite sensibly - via SCC.
If you cant see the logic behind the club moving forward to Barton instead of staying forever in Weaste where there would be NO chance of repayment of the loan then I would suggest you dont go into business.
By the way the loan is guaranteed by the Directors so I really cant see any argument for the club not going for the bridge.
