| I like the idea of Sky doing a contra deal with either C3, 4 or 5......
In the current climate of falling ad revenues, it should appeal to the channel involved as it would attract comparitable audience figures that sky get for SL and the BBC get for the CC...and SKY get ads pre/half-time/post game......as well as the chance to groom some new presenters to replace wiggy and toothy.

the "big game" is something super league clubs need to look into when magic weekend has run its course. st helens v warrington at anfield or leeds v bradford at elland road sounds good with a lot of aggressive marketing. even a double header at say the city of manchester with salford and wigan involved? show that we can inflate our attendance figures too!
i 'm going to hazard a guess that wigan and hull will break 15k each tonight through the turnstiles.

| Hulls crowd was 14,520
3,300 up on the equivalent fixture last year, with only about 300 away fans making the trip.

Shame we didn't get the 15,000 we were hoping for but still a decent turn out. I reckon there was a touch more from Hudds. 500 maybe.

they also include the players, the ref, linesman as part of the crowd too.
i can imagine the guy at the gate counting people in, just when they hit 16,500 he says no more, we are full.

Or they have an all ticket policy and sell all 16500. The Wakefield-Cas relegation match drew exactly 11K, capacity of Belle Vue, that was all ticket too.

| Suprised at our crowd last night.
I know the game was on Sky and there was only around 6-700 KR fans there but still we should have been getting more then that.

Brilliant!
I was really disappointed by the Cas crowd tonight although there was 5 of us watching at mine that would normally go but didn't due to other money commitments.
Namely partying.

| Salfords gate is far more worrying than the 2,400 that will hit twickenham today........very very worrying for an M62 club.

i should make fun of quins and salford too then if thats going to be the result.
if wigans form under mcguire continues i expect theyll end up with a crowd average of 16,000 - 17,000

the worst thing about it was cheap tickets were on offer as well
without wanting to start another franchise debate...as things stand i'd put my money on them dropping out to be replaced by the championship teams. Low crowds, no top8 finish, won't meet the financial criteria, or expansion, and this new ground is no closer to being reality. Sorry Salford fans but I just can't see another license right now.

I didn't create these attendance figures, I'm just giving you my source. If you believe the RFU are lying then that's your prerogative.
