Next season we will improve on sales no doubt. A lot of fans this season have had a look, so to speak and with Wire and Wigan coming up a few more will do too.

Why will they improve no doubt? Crowds are falling off and not growing.

The worrying situation around CC is definitely worth talking about at any point. Thankfully these boards aren't a communist dictatorship where we hide any issues with the game by not talking about them. Did you really expect people not to talk about a new franchise posting a crowd of just over 2000, having only 250 season ticket holders and their chairman admitting to pumping in £750k?

Why do you think it is only Leigh and Widnes fans who have posted the majority of post on this thread? I know why and you know why.

The biggest danger you're missing, Crucru, is that the novelty factor of the club in SL is wearing off. The fans won't come just for the sake of it next season, if they're not attending now, then it's not going to happen. The into the unknown factor will be gone by then. The Crusaders HAVE to start winning more regularly to attract the crowds in.

Yes he does have experience of this, just not a very good one.



The main issue which is the talking point of the viability of the CC in their current state. People are genuinely concerned and actually want to discuss it but instead it gets turned into the usual 'people are just attacking CC' thread.



There's having faith in somebody and then there's just common sense. He's only going to carry on putting money in if he see's a return for it. If things don't improve he might walk out in 6 months, 1 year, 10 years we don't know but he will eventually unless it improves and I doubt whether it necessarily will.



Obviously the worse things get the more likely he is to pull the plug.

I understand where both of you are coming from don't get me wrong.



We need an improved squad next season and progression with regards to turning performances into wins. You might think I'm just saying this but I've been very pleased with performances this season but we have been naive, especially in situations where we can win matches. That needs to change.



Games are going to be taken on the road. This will ensure new interest and hopefully new fans willing to travel. Don't forget a lot of these people are used to watching Magners League rugby union. It is dire, and that's being kind. They will love rugby league.



LS has got the biggest millstone from around his neck in the Brewery Field. In the current climate the Brewery Field was money after money. I am pretty sure this is where the majority of the money went. For example, something as minor as floodlights for Sky games cost £40,000 to bring the lights up to standard. Now he has a club he can move where he likes and to grounds with the necessary facilities for certain games. i.e the arms park, Cardiff.



As I have said repeatedly we need the three years and I think the rfl realise this which is why we and Salford have that long to establish ourselves. I think they will see enough in that time to see Wales has a place in Super League. By the time the 3 years are up also we will know if the club has a future in Bridgend. If not there are ready made stadiums available around South Wales that would suit Super League perfectly. This would give Crusaders a leg up on other SL teams in one move. Other clubs simply do not have this luxury with the exception of Catalans but I'd go as far as to say they don't have as many options.

I honestly do want CC to do well.

Like I've said before I'd happily have a drink and a chat with the Widnes fans. Maybe you'd see I'm not that bad then. We'd have a laugh if nothing else.



Most of what our club does is transparent and there for all to see. I don't mean it personally just feel the need to try to fight our corner and sometimes(or all the time) take concerns as a pop at the club.



One thing I will say is though expect more Aussies next year as JD explained to us at the meeting it is virtually impossible to get Northern lads down here to play. We tried last year and it proved increasingly difficult. I don't mind Aussies as long as the Welsh lads learn from them and finally displace them in the team. As you will see with most SL teams though, they never get totally displaced, but that's another thread for another day.



Anyway, I'm off I'm knackered.

Big difference in keeping a team full time in the National Leagues as well. LS is paying for a difference of about 3000 fans a game on Widnes. Even on a tenner a game that's £30,000 that he has to make up.

3,000 more a gmae that cant be right that would mean you were averaging well over 5k.

years 1-2 you look after the business years 3-4 the business looks after its self year 5 onwards the business looks after you. we have plenty of time come back in 12 months and we'll talk about it when we are halfway though
