And with the Membership you get other perks, Maybe not so big taken singulary but when you add it all up its a good deal.

Hull Fc's season tickets are around the £230 mark. I think the spreading it out over the year is a great plan though. Much easier for families and makes managing your monthly finances a lot easier.

Keighley have been doing something similar for a couple of years now called the KC club.
For £10 a month there's a platinum membership that gets a season ticket, access to a member's bar, and discounts with various local companies and the club shop. Plus half the money generated goes to the Sue Ryder Care Manorlands hospice.

Yep I think a few clubs have membership schemes and ways of paying by direct debit instead of a lump sum. I know Leeds have had it in place for a few years.
Whilst good for Widnes, it's not the earth shattering news that the OP was proclaiming. |

Trouble is you are then tied to that club for 5 years.
What if they go or start losing lots of games and you want to go and watch another one?
It's like having a mobile phone on a 24 month contract. It's out of date within 6 months.

Its another variation on the "Pledge" campaign so successfully mounted by the Bulls, albeit rather more expensive. But the idea of a monthly subscription is sounding better and better to me the more I think about it.
On first consideration, I like the sound of this. If you are a club that does not need a lot of cash up front, this sounds like a template for the future that may well be copied.
I applaud this initiative.
