I would be staggered if we even get 2 back. I don't think the appeal will affect the relegation spots at all.

Salford is part of Greater Manchester, they're also the nearest team to Manchester centre proper.



Salford's attendances have increased massively on last year. Rome wasn't built in a day, it'll take a couple of seasons until they're challenging. Wanting them to go down for the temerity of having an owner who actually tries to transform a club is parochial spitefulness at its worst.

From a Cas point of view it would have to be the 2 teams who bring the least fans, unfortunately, Catalans is one amazing away day, So that leaves London and Salford. But it will definitely be London and Bradford who go down, and as they will be the bottom 2, rightfully so.



Both clubs need a fresh start, they need to take stock of themselves and rebuild the whole identity of the club, once they have done this they will regain their place on merit.

TBH, I don't see how teams CAN get back into SL after this year. The clubs that are down will be forced down to a lower salary cap than those in SL, a lower overseas quota and might even be forced into having part-time teams due to financial constraints.



Under the old structure of a play-off between Championship clubs to earn promotion, you at least had a chance, but 4 SL sides vs 4 Championship sides? You might get the occasional upset as we've seen in the cup, but is it really going to happen every year?



IMO the 2015 structure is there just to give the illusion of promotion and relegation unless the rules are changed so that all 24 teams are placed on an a more even footing than the one on which they currently stand.

My "traditional Village team" ain't doing too badly. Plenty of room for more village teams in SL.

David Hughes has pumped in excess of 13,000,000 into London RL over the seasons 2008 to 2013.......he achieved little in that period.....other than an academy that is now pumping out players of championship standard. He admittedly has little understanding of the importance of crowds, but he will walk away leaving us debt free......that's 13 million pounds by the way.



Dr M has invested nothing like that figure, and achieved pretty much the same......attendances BTW are running at 2012 levels now and Salford are sitting on 9 points at the 50% stage of the season......you were on 8 points this time 2012.



Bradford, Wakefield and London are the only teams worse than Salford this year and the fact is that the "new" "new" "new" Salford next year will have a "new" coach after 8 rounds or so if they aren't in the top half.......Marwan is a breath of fresh air and I hope he has the stamina for it, but in reality, he needs to understand he hasn't bought Manchester City.

It's strange how lower salary cap restraints are only concerning to SL clubs likely to be relegated. There was little concern before.



Although the gap will be now where near what it is currently. Personally I'd just scrap the salary cap and have a break even cap, then Championship clubs can spend up to their revenue.

I have no problems with a "village" team, when ever you get a large group of RL fans together "Classy Cas'" quickly emerge as everyones' (well the majority, lmao) "second" team.
