Radio Humberside have been running bulletins rubbishing the Mail article, and apparently the Rovers chairman himself has said that they are not and never were interested.



The HDM are notorious for running stories without even the most rudimentary of checks. This appears to be one of those occasions.

Hull KR aren't likely to admit they bid for a Hull player and lost out though are they.

That's just as unlikely as a player choosing to play for Hull FC instead of Hull KR

Great move for Sam and hopefully a great move for the Rabbitohs.

Surprised they've gone for him early thus having to pay a transfer fee though.

Great move for Sam's career and development, and should be a good move for the Rabbitohs. They're going to have a tasty pack indeed.

Good on the kid, I hope it works out for him. Good to know he is leaving for the big show before his career goes stale.





By the way, any transfer fee would count against the Souths Sydney salary cap.



That would mean he'd be on even less then the very little he'll be on at first anyway.





Having said all that, if the Bulls didnt require a transfer fee I'm sure a brown paper bag full of money would just turn up out of the blue to make sure everything was sweet.

Its the best thing that Sam could do at this stage in his career, but he might get a shock if he keeps trying to hit with his shoulder.



There is no reason why Sam shouldn't cope, playing with better players will improve his game and might encourage more youngsters to do the same.



I would like to see players like Ellis and Burgess then return to superleague to help improve our game.



If we really want to improve our game at national level (which I sometimes doubt) we need to bite the bullet and send some of our up and coming players into the toughest competition.



But that won't happen will it? Hell we can't even agree in the interpretation of the rules

and thats just the fans!!!!
