| Quote ="gutterfax"ah...apathy. The ruling classes have maintained power for centuries because of it.
If the 110 odd people who have voted so far were to cancel their SKY SPORTS subscription from October to February, this would save them about £90......and so far, in 90 minutes cost SKY £9,000. Not saying people will or should, just trying to get enough votes to be able to send the results to Woods at the RFL to make them aware of the impact on fans.
The first rule when you want something is always the same...If you don't ask, you won't get!'"
Not ruling classes. Just agreeing that he who pays the piper calls the tune. Now if you were to say that we had cost Sky £9000 in 90 minutes and then multiplied it until it hurt Sky you would be getting somewhere. As it is I doubt whether any of those 110 will even consider cancelling their subscription. If you want tyo do something positive then take Sky to the small claims court for lost money on the trip. If all the people that did lose money followed that course you may generate enough publicity through rival broadcasters to upset Sky and consider future rearrangement of fixtures. At the moment it is like warning somebody that if they don't mend their ways you will jolly well warn them again.

We can. You seem not to be able to.
Sky are televising this game. Sky have the exclusive UK broadcast rights to all Super League games – and as the main broadcast partner, their scheduling decision is what counts, not any local deal that Catalans may have done with orange or any other French broadcaster, which are only for secondary rights for French broadcast.

You're a bit thick aren't you? The Bradford game was moved in October 2008, months before the season even began.

Doh.! I think you'll find that it was moved in October and then bounced again because the Aussie game had to be rearranged because of a dodgy pitch. (sorry can't find you an Emoticon of egg on face)

No, the press release in October 2008, clearly states that the round 2 game has been moved to the weekend of 6-8th February, which is the very same weekend on which the round 2 fixture against Bradford was actually called off due to a frozen pitch. In fact, being pedantic, Quins round 2 fixture was rescheduled to the weekend of 6-8th February before the 2009 SL fixture list was even announced.
The game against Manly wasn't moved because of a frozen pitch, the game was provisionally scheduled for the evening of Thursday 19th February, before being confirmed for the afternoon of Sunday 22nd February when it actually went ahead.

And spend the money you would be getting back on actually going to the Small Claims Court.
It is appalling this decision, and EVERY RL should vote on this, because something needs to be done. You may be able to sit back now and not care as it isn't affecting you, but imagine it happened to your club, especially with the credit crunch. You would be doing exactly the same thing, so you may as well vote now and help the Quins fans before it happens to your club.

| SKY are showing the game which is probably why they have moved it. Eddie and Stevo can't get from the North of England after the game on Friday night to the South of France. Not a lot of flights go that way on a late Friday night. Thery cannot fly out till Saturday morning. For them to get there in time to get booked into a hotel, get along to the ground, prepare themselves before kick off is nigh on impossible by 7pm hence Quins get booted to Sunday and to hell with the consequence. However all supporters of all teams need to realise this is not going to be a one off it will occur maybe two or three times a season and SKY will not commit to which ones, it will depend on current form of a team. It could be your club next, we are first and there will be another one later in the season who knows who it will be. Next season probably three or four. So get signing

To all 3 of them
Craig
I’m extremely surprised you have decided to allow Sky to move a Catalan game by 24 hours. Most who travel to France return on the Sun morning for Work on the Mon. Equally how often do Sky televise games on a Sun.
I’ve lost 2 flights as I’m unwilling to pay double the original price for a flight change. To make it worse the missus is fuming
viewtopic.php? ... c&start=15
Have a look at the above link to give you an idea of when bookings for France are made.
I’m sure you will pass on your apologies and tell me Sky have it written in there contract that they can change matches 4 weeks before, but surely you must retain some influence on the management of the game. I can’t think of any other business sector that would allow a contractor to be allowed to adversely impact the organisations reputation and product without recourse.
Yours disgruntled

Not the point. If these s get away with this without any bad press or rumblings, then it will be other Fans of other Clubs next time and I consider us to all be part of the same RL family.

| Have just been informally advised that Quins RL fans could well have a 'case' to take to the High Court. It could br for 'losses incurred', or a request for a 'judicial review' and even for the , often overused, 'human rights'.
However, it should be noted that any actions of this type are always costly all round and the only end winners are the lawyers!!
Notice GutterFax & others have been active in writing to a wide number of people. So what about the Parliamentary Rugby League Group - their main interest is to 'protect' the interests of us 'the fans'.

Plus what that nutjob says happened didn't. The round 2 fixture was moved in October last year, before the fixture list had even been released. At the time Quins agreed with the RFL/SL to reschedule the round 2 fixture the opponent, date and even venue (home/away) hadn't actually been made public, which makes it rather hard for anyone to claim that they'd already made plans to travel to it.

| I was wondering why I got no response to yesterdays email about the fixture switch to the RFL......now I know. They were colouring in the team sheet for the England France game.
An absolute feckin' shambles...pure and simple.
Amazing how the other code, with an 90+ year gap, manage to run their game in a professional manner and yet the old pros.....continue to mess it up

| After the riots we had in our last clash with our local rivals I'm suprised that quniz fans are allowed back to Perpignan. Maybe that's the reason for the fixture change.
I agree that it's shocking - especially since it affects the hard core travelling fans, not the sky watchers ... ah.
