the difference is that over the past 30 years France have had 1 or 2 internationals a year, whereas Italy in RU play in 6 nations, plus many other internationals per year, not forgetting their 7s teams play all the time.



We almost have a French team with little experience of playing together.

All the more reason for increased numbers of internationals.

Id stick the french in a quad nations with the Irish, Scots and Welsh and ive have them in the main one if that was possible, the lesser nations need International games, full stop

Agree - keep England with the Aussies and Kiwis and let the others gain some more experience

It wasnt all that long ago that the Aussies put an almost identical score on GB, I for one am pretty glad the Aussies didnt say that GB should play against smaller nations till we were better.

Thing is that we should, we aren't up to playing against Australia in Australia.

Well if thats your ambitions each year then you have fallen further than I thought...your a joke club with a joke coach, crap players and no ground to call home and to top it off your sponsered by a bingo hall..what a state of affairs

How can you say that? According to cherry&white they have one of, if not the best squad in superleague!!!!

With international football, they manage an international every 6 - 8 weeks on average (often playing 2 in the space of a couple of days)



Perhaps throughout the league calendar of Feb - Oct, we should be looking at more internationals for the French.

I also feel that the French were disadvantaged by the fact their domestic league players perhaps haven't played for weeks, given the end of the French season is based on a winter league.

Yes. How times have changed. We are beyond e.

Whilst the wigan fans celebrated like they had each won the lottery, I feel the best thing that could have happened to Wigan was relgation. All the contracts would have been null and void meaning they had the perfect oppurtunity to start afresh and lose all the dead wood. Instead, what happens is that they have an awful time in the league, manage to scrape a couple of wins in the play offs against randoms and then their fans hail next season as being the one they reclaim their crown. This will happen again this year.

Wrong mate! ...We won't be making the playoffs this year.

One local asked a mate of mine what the score was and his amazed response was "what? Bridgend beat Wigan?" - they don't even know the name of the side. Another amazingly asked if "Martin Offiah still played for Wigan?". Knowledgeable about the game they are not!





Didn't see that many shirts around either (apart from the ground obviously), apart from a couple of fans I remember in the Wetherspoons with a fella in a Salford shirt.

What makes you think they don't still have that ambition?
