Wigan are officially a joke. They have looked at how they were previously successful and gone back to basics. Leneghan has had lessons in long haul flying and the cheque book and fishing rod trick Mo used to use.



Meanwhile their much more successful neighbours are grooming the next generation with the likes of Eastmond, Wheeler, Lomax and Ashurst all fitting into the cap room the Goons will be offering to Orford...

Dire have never been giants except in their minds.

But not one of those youngest would get a run in the NRL and will be destroyed when they face the Aussies. Just like every other Saints player who actually has to face some real competition. But keep the illusion going that the Saints youth team is producing top talent.



As for Wigan, pfft. We are lost in the sewage.

Of course they would. You can see that the NRL produces as much dross as Super League from the rubbish that comes over here with star status. The Australians just have better athletes to draw from in the first place.



The likes of Eastmond, Lomax and Wheeler would get a chance in the NRL if they had come through over there. Whether they'd make it is as up for debate as the debate about whether they'll make it here, but they've all had a fantastic impact on Super League. Saints have been able to release at least 15 players over the last three seasons and signed just three, demonstrating how 'good' the youngsters must be for us to still be top.

An average player who was recently awarded the highest individual honour in Australian RL? Strange that?

We have been after Orford for 4 years and he's turned us down twice already, the first time we panic bought Sullivan

Then got Moanas who, although better that Sullivan hasn't had the impact I would have expected although he is improving all the time. off the field his influence is very good on the squad.

Orford plays in a team that ius hopelessly boring and who very much fits into one small style of football. That style just happened to work for a while, so Manly were winning, and as such there are points to be handed out.



Seen as no one really stands out, because Manly is boring, they throw it at the halfback.





You can not look part the fact that we have recalled old, injured halfbacks or kids to play for NSW and over looked this bloke. There is a reason for that.

I real hope Wigan are not going to be signing either Orford or Carl Webb.
