I dont know/think we WILL make any final of any sorts but to presume that Saints or Leeds for that matter are a far better bet when we preside second in the super league already beating Saints on their own ground and still in a comp that Leeds are not at the half way point at least states that we have the ability to beat Saints and more of a chance of winning the Challenge Cup than Leeds!!!



And as for FC they WON the Challenge Cup the Year before their Grand Final appearance and as a Rovers Fan i would not mind emulating that one iota!!!

I'll be very dissapointed both for HKR and for SL if he does go to St's. The good talent needs to be spread throughout the league if we are ever to see more teams winning silverware and greater intensity on games week in and week out.

Hopefully this is agent talk, would grate with me if we signed an aussie halfback (or any halfback for that matter) with 3/4 youngsters vying for a place in the halves.

He's also a fairly average halfback by Australian standards, he couldn't hold down a regular place at Canberra. Admittedly he's up with the best Britain can produce - but most British halfbacks would struggle to get into an NRL side.

Such is your arrogance (or ignorance), I suppose. I'm incredibly proud of my club's achievements, to go from being in administration in 1997 to where we are now on the back of sheer hard work is something to be very proud of.



Success is relative and not limtied to being at the very top, I'm pretty sure if you were in the doldrums for a decade or 2 you would appreciate that a bit more.

Don't think I'm in a position to say really on the site. It is somone who has both played in England and Australia however...

Can't think of any top notch scrum halves who have played in both countries, are still playing now and aren't well past their prime. Unless Saints are going to settle for ageing or middle of the road Aussie/Kiwi for a couple of years till the youngsters are ready to step up?
