This is the point in that the rules are being adhered to. The RFL are not going to give us extra points at the end of the year for not using our quota.



I know our position is slightly skewed by the recent retirements of Costigan and Poore - and those quota spots are unlikely to stay unfilled, however we appear to have less Southern Hemisphere players in our squad for next year than (Based on Wikipedia, so not necessarily correct)

We are competing with all of those clubs to either get in the lower part of the bottom 8 or not get relegated and I would think it remiss of the board of my club to not try and put out the best team (wherever the player is signed from) to ensure we don't get relegated next year.
