I sent an email to the RFL earlier this year, saying that obtaining a block of tickets - say 200 - and then selling them would be a good idea, rather than having to pay through the nose just to ensure your ticket. Rather unsurprisingly I got some generic 'we have no intention of selling tickets for this fixture' excuse and with Eagles playing on the same day i've decided not to bother.

Why does it have to be a stand alone fixture? It isnt like that down here, the mid season Aus-NZ clashes with a round, and many players back up the day after.

Great timing this fixture, 100 miles down the road is the 24 hour le mans race, 300,000 spectators and will fill the papers all weekend. The french really do make the RFL look good in comparison.

The Paris metro system goes all the way to the airport (whichever one you fly in on) and the map is straight forward enough, if you've ever used the london system you'll be fine.
They do weekend passes for the metro system, split into zones. The airport is further out so it may be cheaper to buy two single to the airport and then a zone card for the part where you're staying, but it's quite cheap so I personally wouldn't bother and would get a zone ticket so as to be able to go anywhere in Paris outside of the match.

Two things I'm looking forward to seeing.
First, the continued growth of the England team....its like cancer.
Second, Bobby Goulding not bothering to learn French as coach of France telling the French how to play the game.
The two worst teams in the World Cup facing off, and all that will come of it is more stupid chest beating from stupid poms.
I wouldnt have it any other way.
