I would have put Danny Tickle in too, he is also a brilliant goalkicker. Nobody really stands out as a goalkicker to me in that squad . . . .

I wouldn't Westwoods workrate is phenominal, just what you need at international level, same as O'Loughlin at Wigan, he's got his head down this year and really got stuck in and seems to have cut out a lot of the silly stuff he used to do.

Surprised that Clough has missed out, and I would have left one of the more experienced props out for LMS. Not too bad a squad otherwise.

Failing that, good to see a lot of changes.

Wilkin and Clough are more than likely a victim of their clubs success, Smith has picked players from a variety of clubs due to SL games being played same time. They'll be in the mix along with pryce etc come October.

I would have had Pryce over McGuire and also Wilkin over Westwood and maybe Westerman in there as well.

Wilkin is not test match standard, never will be.

I actually agree, his versatility which makes him such an asset at club level hinders him at international level as he isn't really speicalised in anything.

You would imagine so, I hope we can get a good first half out of the French, they did reasonably well in that first half at Leeds in 07 (i think) and were leading at one point. Last year was a poor do for them at Toulouse.

Anyone who says Tickle should be in the England squad really hasnt seen us play much this season. I've seen every game and hes been poor bar the game against Celtic away.

The England squad looks poor to me but its only against France. If that was the side to play in the 4N at the end of the year, then I would be worried
