Quote ="Channel Islander"That game had everything...
...that is wrong with the sport.
Boring, slow, whistle, inconsistent refereeing, diving, cheating, arguing with the referee, crude chanting, lacklustre play from elite players, players not at the standard these clubs should attract and a terrible production and commentary for the television audience.'"
Diving , cheating and arguing with the referee is creeping into our game on a regular basis now Channel Islander .
The RFL and match officials need to stamp it out now . Penalise it with dissent, arguing or crowding the Referee results in ten minutes in the bin , do it again it’s a red .
Cheating / diving should be a straight Red , throwing the ball at a bloke on the floor to get a penalty is blatant cheating and you should walk for that . It seem harsh but it’s the only way to stamp it oiut of our game .
One rule is breached in almost every SL game I watch , the in goal drop out . I maybe incorrect but I thought it should be taken behind the line . The majority are well over the try line , another simple penalty to introduce , a tap on the 20 for the opposition .
