[iRoom at the Top [/iand [iLife at the Top [/inarrate the origins of rugby in Bradford, the rivalry of the Manningham and Bradford clubs, the formation of the Northern Union in 1895 and the later conversion of the two to soccer at the start of last century. Whilst predominantly focused on Bradford the books also provide a history of Yorkshire rugby and offer an alternative explanation of the breakaway from the Rugby Union that challenges existing accounts. Anyone interested in the history of the Rugby League will find them a valuable addition to the existing literature.
