Similar stuff with stewards and cops in the same area at the same time yesterday too, Cas fans. Not sure what happened but it was calmed down pretty quickly

MCFC coming out and saying publicly that they had never sold so much ale before at an event isn't particularly helpful from a 'discouraging p***heads' perspective. Of course, the RFL doesn't overtly play on the alcohol aspect, but it's arguably a byproduct of the type of event that it is.

It is an offence to either enter a designated sports ground whilst drunk or to be drunk in a designated sports ground.



SJP tend to manage that very well on football match days. That said, they also have a police presence to support the stewards.
