While I think the ticket pricing of this crazy, in that I paid £40 for 2 adults when I could have paid £30 for 2 adult and 2 children and saved a tennner, I view it more as a donation to a brave man's family. Maybe £20 a ticket with a child free would have been better for us singles\ child free families?

Exactly. Yes £20 is expensive for a pre-season friendly between Salford and Swinton, but it's more than that. As has been said ALL proceeds are going to the Henning family, this means both Salford and Swinton will not make a penny out of the game and even the AJ Bell Stadium Co wont be taking their usual ridiculously high slice.
Great gesture by all parties involved.
