Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. Quote ="whiston_warrior"This is wrong really, yes Briscoe has more tackle busts than Charnley (86-75), but charnley has loads more clean breaks (35/19). So charnley is much more likely to make a break.
As you like to select certain stats to suit your point here a few more:
They both average 9.1m per carry.
Charnley works much harder with carries (383-28icon_cool.gif, and tackles (181-103), tackle success Charnley 89.16%, Briscoe 91.15%
Total superleague 2013 appearences Charnley 28, Briscoe 27.
Tries and assist Charnley Again, (34-16) and (7-2)
Briscoe does smash Charnley in terms of offloads (23-9), and has one less penalty (6-7).
You contradict your self, you say you need to create more yourself on the right as most teams go left yet charnley who plays on the right can't create a thing for himself but has 34 tries and Briscoe who plays on the left so has to create less for himself has 16.
Also unless i've watched a different team this year Charnley has score plenty from range.
Briscoe is good but Charnley is ">better.'"
What you've done is re-emphasis my points. Clean breaks means nothing as a clean break is generally created by someone else, in a wingers case normally his centre partner. As all Hull fans know in the decade or so that Yeaman has played for Hull he has always had a reluctance to pass to his wingman.
It's not unusual for a right winger to see more of the action in defense as most teams attack the left flank more(most players are right handed), therefore it's more likely he'll do more tackling. Pat Richards is fantastic under the high ball and Sam Tomkins plays full back at Wigan therefore most teams will kick to Charnleys wing which goes someway to explaining his higher number of carries. Average carries and tackle success are the same. Briscoe has far more offloads which means he's more likely to make chances for others. As for tries, Briscoe played for Hull, an average SL team with terrible halves, Charnley plays for the SL champs who massively out scored Hull in the try department.
As I said in my original post, I think Briscoe offers more, this is my opinion which is why I used the term' For me'. I'm not wrong, I just have a different opinion to you.

| Quote ="saintcj"I think we have healthy comp on the wings with them 3 guys.
Charnley definitely paid the price for his display and rightly so.
Hopefully Tom Burgess being under par will keep him out too.
Mossop has a lot of making up to do to stay in the team.
=#FF0000Really think Sam should be used as a prop, but very much doubt he will'"
I agree, I'd like to see SOL play at 13 meaning we can have S. Burgess and Graham as starting props with Hill and G.Burgess on the bench.

I'd start Sam Burgess in the second row but only have the one prop on the bench alongside Westwood and Farrell and then Burgess can rotate and go in to prop when needs be.
I agree on Mossop as well. If he plays (and I wouldn't play him) he really needs to show some energy and aggression because it was way off against the Aussies. That's the problem with Mossop, when his head is right and he's playing with that intensity he's a superb player but when he goes below that level he gets lazy and is easily dealt with.
The aggressive Mossop is pure quality though as shown in the play offs.

| No I wouldn't play him either but by the 19 looks like he will.
If sol is fit. 13 is his.
How this guy was so underrated in recent years is beyond me.
Hill, graham, s and g burgess is an outstanding set of props. Any of them starting would be ok with me.
Ferres has pretty much nailed his spot
Westwood is great but not been smart. If Farrell plays his spot is very much up for grabs.
If burrow is on the bench and does what we all know he is capable of I would think widdops place is up for grabs too.
