| I'm bring a few mates over from Norway to the Magic weekend and I'm hoping for some advice. I could spend time surfing around but I'm hoping its quicker here. They're all first timers to rugby. I'm a Hull fan so I don't hold out much hope for the rugby side of things but I'm wondering what's best for the weekend?
Are pass outs from the stadium allowed, if so is there much going on in the surrounding area or is Man city centre the best option? Are there any extras being put on by the RFL that are worth checking out? Any recommendations for a bunch of Norwegians who are spending a weekend in Manchester?

| If the rules remain the same as last year you are allowed in and out of the ground as you please and you are also allowed to take your own food and soft drinks in too. The only restriction they have is that you can't take your own alcohol in.

| Thanks for all the advice guys, very helpful. I will be taking a trip to Asda for a few bits, Norway is feckin expensive. Plus if we can take our own food in a trip there may be in order. The metro link sounds good too, we're staying in the centre of Manchester so that makes life easier. Any ideas on late night drinking? We're mostly 40 something's so we don't want to be surrounded by kids.

The Northern Quarter will probably be your best bet for a drink at the night, a mix of different independant pubs and bars(no chains). The usual crowd in the area is around 25 years old +. It also amazes me how many people i speak to from the area who have no idea where it is or that it even exists.
Its located round the corner from the printworks in the streets across the road from Shudehill bus station.
