The only sports the 'mass media' are interested in in the UK, apart from boring footie, are the boring middle class sports of golf,tennis,cricket and rugby union. What the spectators do at these gatherings I have no idea. I do know that at cricket the spectators only go for a snooze, I have seen them there at Old Trafford and Lords.

Interesting theory, although I would say it has more to do with the number of copies of the Daily Telegraph they sell to whippet owning, pigoen fancying redundant miners along the M62 myself.....nothing like a bit of unsubstantiated stereotyping is there Mintball
