Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

| 1. Penalty to Team A in front of the posts 10m out. Penalty re-start can be a tap or a kick at goal
2. Penalty to Team A in front of the posts 10m out but the re-start must be a kick at goal
3. Not quite sure on this one. If the clock is still running and the referee waves the sin-binned player back onto the field then I dont see why he couldnt take it. however in theory, I would imagine the referee would only allow the player back onto the field once the conversion has taken place.
4. Whatever is the 'greatest advantage' to the non-offending team between a 20m restart or a penalty kick 10m out from the offence. I would assume in most cases the penalty would be a greater advantage as you could kick to touch and get beyond the 20m line.
5. NOt entirely sure on this either but I would have thought it would be a goal-line drop out from the defending team.

| Not looked any other responses, so here goes -
1 - Penalty where the ball bounces, or in front of the sticks if it initially lands in goal and wide. If the elbow was high, red card, otherwise a sin bin.
2 - Award the drop goal, and red card the defender if the elbow was high, otherwise sin bin him.
3 - No. From memory, you must be on the field when the try was scored to take a conversion. Im sure Radlinski was prevented from kicking a few years ago for this reason.
4 - Tap 20. If necessary due to the punch, yellow/red card. (Or nowt if you're Alibert.)
5 - Scrum to the kicking team where it goes out.

| 1) Team A attempt a drop goal on half way. As the ball has been kicked, one of the team B players take out the kicker with an elbow. The drop goal is unsuccessful and the ball bounces into the ingoal.
Decision - Penalty to A, on the 10m line, adjacent to where the ball landed in goal. Deal with the elbow incident as necessary.
2) Team A attempt a drop goal on half way. As the ball has been kicked, one of the team B players take out the kicker with an elbow. The drop goal is successful.
Decision - The drop goal stands. Team A are awarded a penalty 10m out, in front of the posts and must kick for goal - i.e. 3 point drop goal.
3) Whilst a player is in the sin bin their team scores a try. Can the player returning to the field of play from the sin bin and take the kick at goal?
Decision - Yes
4) A player jumps from their own in goal area and catches the ball on the full. They then land in there own in goal area, and are pushed backwards and forced over the dead ball line. As the players disperse from the tackle an attacking player punches a defending player.
Decision - 20m restart. Sin bin the player who threw the punch.
5) Team ‘A’ drop out from their own 20-metre line. The ball travels up field, bouncing in the field of play and then proceeds to go dead
Decision - For some bizarre reason IIRC it's a 20m restart, and an exception to the restart rules which would dictate a goal line drop out.

In relation to interchanges that is correct because the player coming on is not part of the game when the try is scored. However in the case of a sinbin, the player is still part of the game and on his return to the field after his time is spent, may take the kick.

| Quote justarugbyfan="justarugbyfan"I did one of these topics a few weeks ago and it certainly got a few people talking.
So let's see who can answer the following questions and who does know the rules!
1) Team A attempt a drop goal on half way. As the ball has been kicked, one of the team B players take out the kicker with an elbow. The drop goal is unsuccessful and the ball bounces into the ingoal.
Decision - =#FF0000Penalty to team A 10m out infront of posts with the option to kick, tap or go for touch
2) Team A attempt a drop goal on half way. As the ball has been kicked, one of the team B players take out the kicker with an elbow. The drop goal is successful.
Decision - =#FF0000Drop goal stands and penalty to team A 10m out infront of posts but can only kick at goal.
3) Whilst a player is in the sin bin their team scores a try. Can the player returning to the field of play from the sin bin and take the kick at goal?
Decision - =#FF0000Yes
4) A player jumps from their own in goal area and catches the ball on the full. They then land in there own in goal area, and are pushed backwards and forced over the dead ball line. As the players disperse from the tackle an attacking player punches a defending player.
Decision - =#FF000020m restart
5) Team ‘A’ drop out from their own 20-metre line. The ball travels up field, bouncing in the field of play and then proceeds to go dead
Decision -=#FF000020m restart '"
Anyone get them all right?
