Quote ="cjhatesunion"Don't get me wrong GF,Barry is a one off and could be quite funny at times but in saying that he also said he likes union and AFL so I stand by my comment.

I like pretty much every sport...with the exception of soccer which unfortunately, I spent many thousands of pounds following until I saw the light.
It's healthy to follow many sports...I have no issue with Union...AFL I don't really "get" and cricket is a 5 day pi55 up which you need a second mortgage to follow internationally.
Bazza only told it as it is for ex-pat Australians...especially in London. Rarely you would see a Kangaroos jersey in a walkabout....very often an NRL jersey but both outnumbered by wannabee jerseys....thank god it's generally cold in London....otherwise I think there would be a mass of AFL singlets on show.....
If Australians Held grudges, most of them would be wearing Irish Union Jerseys and lining up to join the IRA...it seems only a few on here seem to carry a chip on their shoulder regarding Union......which is pretty pointless really...given the comaritive sizes of both sports on a global stage.
