Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com
I have several issues with the way Abide with Me has been treated, none of which have to do with the lady that sang (who was an excellent singer)
Firstly, I think A W M should be sang with the players lined up on the park AFTER the National Anthem
Secondly it should be sang by a man, to get the required deeper tones across. Actually it need not be an expensive classical singer. In fact I think Steve Prescott wouldd have been a great choice (if he can sing in tune)
Thirdly - Some fecker needs to check the acoustics!

With Greg Eastwood in the line up, I'm surprised they found it again!
Quote="LFCRhino"According to Clare Balding on twitter it was all the rhinos players fault abide with me sounded so shocking

I thought it was very poor entertainment wise. Abide with me was ruined for me and would probably have been the highlight of my day (result dependant). Only Men Aloud? Who? Couldn't the RFL book someone half decent, get the crowds in to watch them instead of them?
