KnK is a mass interest sport, to which armies of 'interested' people will show up if it is a bit out of the ordinary and hence augment the real supporters on such occasions. RL is quite different; there is virtually no latent 'interest', almost everyone who turns up at Wembley, Millenium, GFs, internationals etc are regular fans who already turn out for their own teams, so where are you going to draw the 10,000s to (part) fill these super stadia? Lets face it some SL clubs' marketing people are already do discounts to various sectors to draw more fans.



IMO with a couple or three exceptions, SL attendances are going in the right direction at about the right (ie sustainable) rate.

Also why does everyone keep going on about using Eastlands.



They are only allowed to use the ground for a certain amount of non Man City games. These are all taken up with concerts which make a few quid more than any RL game.

Because people come from far and wide for the game, not just the London area and tickets are balloted out through the internet. I think over 1 million people registered for a ticket for the game. I also noticed a lot of Europeans and Americans walking around the Stadium.



Also if you come around Leeds you will see me in my Bucs Jersey

Hardly any people frmo this country actually go to that game.

Id say the majority are from here actually but there are a fair few foreigners

we havent even half sold any of the magic weekends,with several games on offer for a very cheap price.why does anybody think a league game,even between the best two supported clubs in sl,could sell out a major stadium.

the wigan/leeds game did well last season,but not anywhere near enough to warrant moving to a large stadium(even in the heartlands)

we dont even bother with a wembley international anymore,so what chance would a standard league game have.
