He has had 1.5 good games for England and many, many poor ones. Therefore based on this I think talk of him getting the captaincy is a little premature, especially considering he is hardly a guaranteed starter. If he plays as well for the next 5 games then maybe then he could be considered.

A couple of thoughts on the centres:



1) Senior has never ever set the world on fire at the international level and if we had had a half decent centre he would have gone years ago. I'm sorry guys but he's nothing more than a bully who's only any good when he's playing for a side on top.



2) Gleeson's defence must have improved massively over the last couple of years, because I've seen him continuely come out of the line and leave his winger exposed at international level.



For me the closest thing we've come to having quality centre over the last few years is Chev Walker, but he went chasing the pound. Good look to Shenton though, wouldn't say he's world class yet. Good start though and hope continues to improve.
