Easy to dismiss what the poster says as untrue because everything seems from a distance as being better than it's been for a long while.



I take what is said with a large pinch of salt because I've seen no proof one way or the other. I will say though that I've heard this insurance thing before from a very (very) good source (albeit last season, not this), so there's at least some shred in there that makes me think this may not all be total guff. I refuse to commit myself one way or the other, but I wouldn't dismiss it as easy as some are doing. I also wouldn't believe it instantly without some degree of proof which I don't expect to show up.



Perhaps the fact I view Chalmers as about as trustworthy as an insurance salesman is clouding my judgement. But I'm usually quite a good judge of character.

I'd have expected to have heard from other sources if there was anything in this. I've heard bugger all. Belcki has only ever posted to do with alleged troubles behind the scenes, bit odd for a fan of such apparent long standing. Refers to Hudgell as "Neil". Pardon me if I remain a bit sceptical.

Regarding insurance- 6 years ago, under Hood, full insurance was £120k per annum. Don’t know what the quote would be now.

Option 2 - club pays as needed

The only important question is whether the players are getting treated appropriately? How it is paid for is just smoke

The RFL pay for death & critical injury insurance for all players and all clubs centrally, as far as I know.

By the club, or cover it themselves? And the club/insurance pays for things like required surgery? (Not trying to be nosy, it's just a very quick way to either back up or shoot down the accuser's allegation).

By the club. Laithwaite has recently been in hospital for an operation on his leg. Without knowing all the ins and outs, there was certainly no issues with anything. I’m sure if there was no insurance it may well of got mentioned at the time and I guess that type of news would of soon spread around the rest of the squad

If you ask me it's no coincidence that this sort of gossip has come out after Chalmers has started being so vocal about future league structures and getting into spats with other owners. There are plenty of people out there with an axe to grind - former Bulls employees and officials - that know where the bodies are buried. If I was the owner of a SL club and was put out by what Chalmers had said I bet there are plenty of people around ready to dish the dirt to me.



Chalmers would do well to keep his head down and concentrate on the Bulls. Same goes for Hudgell and Carter who surely have enough on their respective plates without bothering with us.

My wife works on a match day at the Bulls and has been paid the correct amount every month on the correct date.

I was going to say, we wouldn't be allowed to play if the players aren't insured. Sure i remember in our liquidation the team had to stop training due to having no insurance.

I don't think it was in doubt that they were insured, just who was paying for it.



But Roger as far as I'm concerned has cleared that up. All the regulars on here know who he is and he's earned the trust more than once, so I'd say his word on that is good enough for me.

Iirc they had to cancel a friendly (batley) during period Chalmers was taking over as insurance wasn’t in place for new company yet.

My son and daughter work for Bradford Bulls and have done for sometime. They have not been paid their wages. I find this upsetting as do my son and daughter.

My whole family are Bradford Bulls fans, because of this treatment handed out to my children we are no longer attending games. I am willing to go public.

I am therefore inviting Mr Chalmers to meet with us face to face to deal with this issue.

My name is Susan Hawkins age 38 from Bradford, I’m a concerned parent of 2 young adults who work match days for a club they are proud to support . Both my son and daughter are still waiting to be paid. Wages were due on the 10th July but both of my kids were fobbed off with the excuses such as tax code errors or there’s a problem with bank account numbers / sort codes then a false promise of you will receive wages on the 23rd July . They are still awaiting wages. Seeing my children in distress about the non payment of wages I messaged Bradford Bulls on Facebook messenger. This message was read and ignored ( very respectful lol ) . Both my kids and I would like to meet Mr Chalmers face to face to resolve this issue immediately .

I have emailed Councillors at Bradford Council and I have also emailed the sports minister with my concerns about the unfair treatment and non payment of wages of your young fans / employees . Next step will be an employment advice from accas

Well I guess we've had a decent run without any rumours of financial problems! If it's any consolation, I've seen from many fans that communication via email, social media etc is ignored by the club. I've remained cautious of Chalmers due to the circumstances when he first took over. I've continued until recently to pay into the lottery but to my knowledge never get any communication via email or post from them. I'm assume I was still paying into the right account but I've lost track! I've certainly had no letter why I stopped! I at least get regular updates from Bullbuilder about where those funds go.

If I was having trouble getting payment I'd be up there in person and not leaving until I received it. I'd want to see the organ grinder too rather than get fobbed off as we all know there are a few up there that aren't up to it. Hopefully it's just an administrative balls up. I don't think social media is the right way to communicate with these matters especially considering the issues we've had with it up there (spelling, general inaccuracy etc). I wouldn't be surprised if that side of things was ignored.
