Today should see the final nail in the coffin. It started 3 years ago in the play-offs when we were unable to hold onto a big lead against Wigan. And it has been compounded in the last two weeks with a vengence. You have to now ask what has Macca learnt in the past three years? Roll on 2010.

So I was wondering if the Sack Mac crowd will be giving him a break next season given our recruitment.



I for one will defo be laying off him until the requisite period (10 games) is up and we can judge him more fairly. Personally I think he'll do well and secure a new contract.

Agree with that sentiment, I think with the obvious improvement in the squad he should do well enough for a new contract. I would not have a problem with that if we finish in the top 6

I think he'll get a new contract given a decent season but I would like to see evidence that he can guide us somewhere in the playoffs as well. A good cup run (semi's at least) would demonstrate the same mentality required to win something.

Given the money the board have backed him with this season and our dreadful season in 2009, the axe must be hanging over his head. A start to 2010 like the start to 2009 must have him collecting a P45

Amnesia?... Hood stated that the club could spend up to the cap last year, so the money "backing" was there last year! The problem was that there weren't many/any quality players available to spend big money on (as proof, look at the willingness to take on Bird).



As to the season start... IMO this was down to really bad luck, the combination of weather and fixtures being screwed about by the RFL. Lets hope that combination doesn't repeat, but then the club have made different/stronger arrangements this year.
