Quite a shambles by the looks of it. Looks to me as if the club has dropped an enormous clanger over the visas. An example of how the front office can have a big impact on the playing side of things.



I feel for those fans, they deserve much better from their club.



I also think there is a place for Celtic in SL. But only if they can be trusted to organise their affairs better.

Illegal is Illegal if they are here on the wrong Visa then they deserve to be booted out, why should the RF lassist and get involved this is a club administration problem, would they step in for any of the bigger teams...Fact is this Welsh francise is failing and failing badly sooner the RFL accept this the better.

That said I feel sorry for the Celtic fans. They have done nothing wrong apart from enjoy watching live rugby league in a non heartland area.

The RFL have been left with egg on their faces here by allowing them entry into the league. It is sad to see that the Crusaders appear doomed.

It would be less embarassing to at least support them for another couple of years and hope they pull through rather than to let them go bust in their first year.



But in retrospect i think Toulouse would have made a better go of Superleague.

I assume we now will get the two points back that they won illegally.

How can it take so long to find out if their visas are in order?

Im minded to think the following clubs wopuld have had a better crack as they were around the required level (ie juniors players etc and been competative)

Hopefully the club can still compete for the rest of the season. What worries me is that if they have to bring in extra players due to the live salary cap and the fact the deadline has been passed to register players for this season. Surely the RFL could waiver this for the remaining three matches to ensure that the club are able to field a team and then it'll be tough recruiting for next year.

It says past visa applications so you could be going back 3 years.

Sorry but thats tough dispensation cant be given to one team and not others, surely the club was involved with the visa applications and were aware of limitations etc etc. the administration of this club since supoerleague seems to hjave gone from bad to worse, no home stadium, financial questions and now problems with VISAs wonder what the released players thoughts are? actions against the club perhaps for loss of earning etc etc only speculating of course

It may be a straw we'll be clutching at but it's worth the effort it it makes the difference in getting into the 8, I can imagine the lawsuits from the other clubs now.........

well the thing is, there were problems with the visas at the start of the season. surely someone at that time from either party (club or pencil pushing jobsworth civil servants) could have said something? not leave it til a month before the end of the season

If it were to come to it. The best policy would be to simply erase their results from the entire season. That way nobody gets any points they shouldn't have and nobody loses any they shouldn't either.
