Brent Tate would be a very good signing as long as he could stay fit. Willie Tonga would be awesome, but it wont be a big name signing.

It be Rhys wesser or nathan merritt. both OOC at souths and souths owe us a favour for takin both burgess"s! hope its merritt but cant see it. Wesser is ok but hes mainly a full back!! Presume we are keeping Ainscough, Finigan, Crookes... why would we need him?

Isnt Nathan Merritt one of the top tryscorers in the NRL this year ?

He has been their highest try scorer for past 4 years at least - cant see them letting their top try scorer go TBH

Why does this player have to be out of contract?

If he asks for a release and his club grant him one, the remainder of the contract becomes negligible.



It's also worth pointing out that Leeds have been on the hunt for Senior's replacement for quite a while now, and their lack of 2012 signings suggest a big one is coming up. The cynic in me suggests that any decent player would be heading to Leeds before Odsal.

Tonga is on parramattas radar.

depends whether leeds look to sign a or promote from within. watkins and BJB both seem capable of filling role. BJB was being lined up to take over at FB from Webb but with him staying another year maybe theres been a rethink?. Plus leeds have a few areas they need to strengthen. buderus looks likely to be off and theres also talk of Chase coming in and burrows leaving. Fully expect them to make a couple of big signings. After way they've gone this year hetheringtons gonna have to pull something out of bag to calm things down.
